There's a lot of solar installers out there - thousands, in fact. Asking which company is 'the best' is a bit like asking which pub serves the best schnitzel.
The best companies vary from state to state, city to city, and even suburb to suburb! And it can become a subjective, hair-splitting exercise very quickly.
I started SolarQuotes back in 2009 to help people get quotes from installation companies that they could trust to do a great job at a fair price.
At the time of writing, there are over 300 companies in the SolarQuotes® Network who I consider excellent operators. That means they are actively referred by SolarQuotes® and they pay us a fee every time we refer someone to them.
There are also, of course, many solar companies that choose not to be clients of SolarQuotes who are excellent operators.
To add a layer of objectivity to rating solar installers in the SolarQuotes® Network, I go about it from both the front-end and back-end:
Each and every company that applies to join the SolarQuotes network is heavily vetted by me (Finn Peacock) personally.
You can learn more about my vetting criteria here - but suffice to say, it's very hard to get into my network, and very easy to be kicked out of it!
It's rare that a company in my network does the wrong thing, but if they do, I deal with them swiftly.
What this means is if a company passes my vetting, I am extremely confident they are installers:
- who care about the work they do and their clients
- who install brands I'd be happy to have on my own roof
- who offer a fair price.
As I mentioned above - getting into my network is one thing. Staying in there is another.
Each and every person who buys solar through one of the companies I recommend is asked to leave them a review.
I receive hundreds of reviews each and every month - meaning its very easy for me to monitor their feedback and make sure my customers are having a great experience with them :)
You can search for all solar installers (and their reviews) - including those companies not in my network - in my extensive database here.
The best solar company is one that offers a product that meets your needs and budget - and if you don't know where to start looking for one, you can quickly and easily request quotes from installers in my network that I recommend, have pre-vetted and trust here.
