I'm often asked to add new products to my panel, inverter, battery and EV charger comparison tables.
There are far more brands out there than my curated tables currently list. What gives?
In short - I'm trying to save you, the consumer, from information overload.
By only displaying a curated list of products on each table, I want to signal two things
- These are brands I'd recommend to a friend and consider a safe bet
- They're not flight-by-night operations
So, here's the criteria a product needs to meet before I'll list it on the relevant comparison table:
Panels and inverters:
- Must be on my recommended panel and inverter charts - which have their own criteria
EV chargers:
- Brand has an Australian office for warranty support.
- We must see it quoted at least 3 times 'in the wild' from consumers who ask us to review quotes
- Must have at least 5 reviews on SQ
- Must have a modern slavery policy
Batteries:
- Must be on the CEC approved list
- Brand has an Australian office for warranty support.
- We must see it quoted at least 3 times 'in the wild'
- Must have at least 10 reviews on SQ
- Must have a modern slavery policy
