Absolutely not.
But there are a lot of 'cold calling' solar telesales people ringing around Australian homes right now, and here is what happens occasionally:
Someone fills out our 'get quotes' form. Later that day - by coincidence - they receive a cold call from a telemarketing company that we have nothing to do with. The homeowner naturally assumes we have passed their details onto the telemarketer. We have not, we only pass your details on to the maximum of 3 solar companies that we trust - this should never include call centres.
We serve thousands of people a month - and there is a lot of cold calling going on, so unfortunately, this coincidence will happen occasionally.
Here are our golden rules for handling your contact details:
- If you ask for quotes by filling in the form, you can specify how many quotes you want (1,2 or3). Depending on your request, your information will only be provided to a maximum of 1, 2 or 3 solar power companies that serve your area. Each installer can only use your information to give you a solar quote.
- We hate spam as much as you do. We will never pass your information on to anyone except the 3 solar installers unless you give us your explicit permission to do so.
- We will send you emails walking you through the solar buying process, and asking you for feedback. If you leave the 'get newsletter' box checked, we will send you updates on the solar industry and occasional offers that we think may interest you. Every email will have a prominent unsubscribe link if you don't want to receive them anymore."
