What does the green 'VERIFIED' badge mean on reviews?

If the review has a green 'VERIFIED' badge that means that either:

• the reviewer has uploaded a 'proof of purchase' and we have manually verified it as legitimate proof that the reviewer has dealt with the reviewed company

or

• the reviewer has provided their full contact details (name, email, phone number, street address) when requesting quotes for solar through SolarQuotes and the company they are reviewing is one that we referred them to

Reviews that don't have the green badge still have to verify their email address as valid and active and also have to pass our sophisticated 'anti-fake-review' systems. From Jan 1 2020 they also have to verify their phone number via SMS. Finally they have to get past a real human being called Ned who is ninja-level at spotting fake reviews.

We won't tell you what methods we use to try and weed out fake reviews - because that will give the fake review factories too many clues!

But rest-assured we weed out a lot of fake reviews that never make it online.
