Firstly - if you have my recommended monitoring package, Solar Analytics, with your solar system, Solar Analytics will tell you - based on historical performance, weather and solar layout, exactly if your solar is working properly or not. Log in and have a look! If you need help interpreting it, Solar Analytics has an excellent helpdesk. If they can't help, feel free to send me a screenshot of the 'performance' tab.
If you don't have Solar Analytics and you want me to advise on the performance of your solar system - I need to know these things before I can help:
1) The name of the solar company that sold you the system. I will not help you if you insist on keeping this a secret! Why? If it is a SolarQuotes client - I have great relationships with them all - and I know I can chat to them about your specific system and can be confident in its design etc. I also know that they will be happy to resolve any issues with the minimum of fuss. If you have used one of the well known crap-solar companies in Australia, I know that I have to start with the basics - checking that they've got the fundamental design correct, then move on from there.
P.S. We get lots of people contacting us who *think* they got their system through SolarQuotes® but actually went with a crap-solar company recommended by a copy-cat website with misleading advertising, un-vetted installers and various names similar to ours.
2) A line diagram of the system. The company must provide this as part of their obligations under the Australian Standards. I need to see the design to help.
3) A login to your monitoring system. I can't help you if you don't have monitoring. What were you thinking buying a solar system that does not tell you what it has produced?
Finally - these blog posts have been written to help you self-diagnose if you have an issue or not:
